Marco Campbell is a member of the "Order of the Bear". The stepbrother of William Wagner and the boy that Allie Pennington believed was Mordred.
Appearance[]
Marco has dark brown-colored hair, piercing green eyes and is about five feet tall.
Personality[]
In the book series Marco has quite a temper as well as a sharp tongue. He's more than capable and willing to hurt other's feelings. He is the one to blatantly tell Will about Jen and Lance's affair. On numerous occasions, he shows he is jealous of Will. He is also a big bully, and we see that when he attacks the other boat. He doesn't take the discovery that he is the reincarnation of Mordred very well. He even tries to kill both Mr Morton and Will.
In the film he doesn't have these insecurities, however, he pretends to in order to get close to Mr. Moore/Mordred, acting as a spy for the Order of the Bear. When people are in actual danger he will rush in to help. He also pledged undying loyalty to the reincarnation of King Arthur.
Biography[]
Marco is the stepbrother of William Wagner. His mother having married Will's father.
Later Marco maliciously revealed that Jennifer and Lance had been seeing each other behind Will's back. Eventually Marco learned that Marco and Will are, in fact, half brothers. Enraged by the revelation. Marco targeted Will in a murderous rampage. Only to be stopped by the intervention of Elaine Harrison.
Avalon High (2010 film)[]
Marco is the stepbrother of William Wagner, whom Allie Pennington believed is the reincarnation of Mordred. For a long time Marco singled out Miles as someone to bully. But every time he attempted to do so Will would intercede on Miles behalf.
During a party hosted by Will, Marco and some of his friends played a prank by planting a large fake bug on some of the food. When Will confronted him about it Marco and his friends left without incident.
On the night of the game Will disappeared. Marco went in search for him. Going to the school theater, Marco confronted Mr. Moore and was injured. Mr. Moore returns and reveals to Will, Allie and Miles that he is really Mordred and that Marco was actually a member of the Order of the Bear who was sworn to protect Arthur, like his father before him. Marco had sworn to continue his fathers mission to protect Arthur, and had been trying to gain Mr. Moore's trust. Mr. Moore then attacked the group. Allie grabbed a prop sword to stop Mr. Moore, but it transformed into Excalibur, revealing that she was the real reincarnation of King Arthur. Mr. Moore and Allie dueled in an alternate reality, where Marco, Will and Miles (Merlin) were also present and fighting. With the help of Merlin, Allie defeated Mordred.
Back in the theater the group are able to escape and Mr. Moore was detained. Marco knelt before Allie and pledge loyalty and fealty to her. Will then returned to the game and he proceeded to win.
Later, Marco along with Allie, Will, Miles, and the others gathered together at the round table dressed as his legendary counterpart.

- In the original novel, Marco was revealed to be the reincarnation of Mordred. This was changed to Mr. Moore (Mr. Morton in the novel) when the novel was adapted to film.
